Holcomb Farm Film in the Loft: Creepy Crawley

Independent Film:  Creepy CrawleyFriday Oct 29th at 7:30pm:  Special screening of Creepy Crawley, a suspense/thriller independent film, filmed in part at Holcomb Farm, West Granby CT.  The director and actor, Mike Lombardi, and cast members will be on hand throughout the evening to answer questions and discuss the movie.  The Granby Prevention Council (Youth Services Council) will be selling candy, popcorn and hot beverages.  Doors open at 7:00pm.  Wear warm clothes and bring a blanket or sleeping bag to sit on (chairs will be available as well) as there is no heat in the Loft.  What a great way to kick off the Halloween weekend. Apples Abound!Enjoy apple season at Bushy Hill Orchard or Lost Acres Orchard, just minutes from the Dutch Iris Inn.   Bushy Hill Orchard is open Fri-Sun 10am-5pm; Lost Acres Orchard is open every day throughout the fall, Mon-Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 12:30-5pm.  The onsite Creamery at Bushy Hill Orchard is open, and don’t forget to indulge in the wonderful farm kitchen goodies at Lost Acres Orchard…take some fresh cider home, too.  You’ll thank yourself later!

October 9th & 10th, 2010, 10am-4pm.   Enjoy roaming through our town of Granby CT, meeting the artists in their studios and taking in some truly wonderful art.  Like last year, you can pick up a “Passport” at the first studio you visit.  If your Passport is stamped by at least 9 of the 12 studios, you will be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift certificate that you can spend at any studio on the tour.  There will be at least 19 artists within the 12 studio tour stops, spanning watercolors, oils, egg tempera, pastel, collage, calligraphy, photography, furniture making, cartooning, sculpture and found objects, glass, pottery, jewelry…who could want anything more?  Thank you for supporting Granby Art!
